Overall this was one of the worst dinner experiences I have had in a long time. Party of ten people with reservations. We get seated pretty quickly. That was the last thing that went right during the dinner in terms of service. Wine orders went out and took forever. My wine was not chilled and warmer than room temp. I had to unfortunately put ice in my wine to make it bearable. Dinner order goes out and they don't make kids pizzas in the style of pizza my daughter wants so I have to get an adult. Not a big deal there. Until......everyone at the table is served their entrees and my 5 year old girl is still without food. Not until everyone is almost done and my daughter has grown completely restless do they bring out the pizza. Every restaurant with sense and every parent knows you serve the children first for the sanity of the people around them. I ordered the Braised Beef with tortellini. Beef and sauce were OK but the pasta was terribly under cooked and doughy. Pretty gross but I choked it down cause the sauce made it sort of bearable. my daughter gets a tiny free dessert for her wait. Myself and 2 others order a small tiramisu each . Waitress goes ahead and gets us all large ones at 4 dollars more each because we obviously didn't know what we wanted...... or perhaps for that extra dollar or two for the already for your convenience added in gratuity.......They had two servers at our table and everything they did came with a painfully long wait. Apparently twice the waiters means twice the wait at Olive Garden. They messed up one of the checks by adding an extra chicken parm to a check when they didn't order it and made us wait another ten to fifteen minutes to fix it. They even were serving dessert while 8 people still had empty dinner plates in front of them.....any self respecting establishment would have had those plates cleared before they even took the desert orders.... So....if you like good service and good food at decent prices then stay away from Olive Garden in Morehead City. In addition to their bad service I had to look at an over weight man in a dirty wife beater while eating my under cooked food. Don't let people into your restaurant that are dressed like that! It's disgusting!

I am pretty baffled as to why this restaurant is currently at 5 stars. I had one of the worst dining experiences at this establishment. Although i believe the waitress had a great amount to do with how crappy the visit was, i also believe that when a business hires an employee they should be confident in that employee to represent their company as a whole. The waitress I had was among the worst. The endless soup and breadsticks most certainly was not endless, and not by choice. I had one bowl of soup, and stared at an empty bowl for 20 minutes, at which point in time my main meal had come out to me. The goal was to get pretty full off of soup and breadsticks, that way i could take home leftovers and enjoy them the next day for lunch/dinner. The breadsticks got refilled 1 time, and that was upon request. I ordered a Tour de Italy which consists of chicken parm, chicken alfredo, and lasagna. The chicken parm was good, and i decided i would take the chicken alfredo and lasagna to go. When i asked for a box the waitress came back with a box that i immediately knew was to small for my leftovers, but this lady is supposed to be a proffessional. She was not in training, no one was over her shoulder watching her. I let her do what she thought best, because at the end of the day, i wouldnt want someone telling me how to do my job. The take out box was no bigger than a box that you would put an extra slice of birthday cake into. She first put the lasagna in the box, making it over 1/2 full. Next came the chicken alfredo, directly on top of the lasagna. This created 2 problems. She just mixed lasagna which has marinara on it, with chicken alfredo making the alfredo now undesirable. problem number 2 was...where is she planning to put the breadstick? she realized the bread stick would not fit, and took it upon herself to use her hands to touch the breadstick, break it in half and then cram the lid shut. She stated "oops, i had to smoosh it a little". I payed close to 20 dollars for my waitress to forget about myself and the people i was with, get 0 soup/breadstick refills, get a mediocre meal, and then have my left overs cramed into the smallest box this place owned. I've spent 4.99 on the dollar menu at mcdonalds and have recieved better service.

We went during a none busy time and got seated immediately. We looked over the menu every server and host walked past us a million times and time started to add up. We had no drinks we didnt have coasters to let someone know that someone has greeted the table (worked there before). And the server was taking care of the another table in the section which I thought was weird because you seen us but, haven't spoken a word to us. We eventually sat there for 15minutes without even a greet. I was so upset because the staff going through a class for customer service and the Darden company takes pride in customer service. We got up and walked out. And the host and manager said have a nice day, we didnt reply... we actually went right down the street to another Darden resteraunt Longhorn and it was fabulous!

I have dined at this restaurant on many occasions. Most of the time I have a great experience. The food is so delicious and there is something for everyone in the family. I like that I can sample a wine before ordering a glass. The salad is so delicious! I frequently take advantage of their special offers.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
